Despite what you may read elsewhere, Henkel Harris is still in business as of the publishing of this article (August 2021). Henkel Harris has had a bumpy road over the years. Indeed, the company closed in the early 2000s after battling cheaper imports and a downward facing economy. However, they have since reopened their factories in Winchester, Virginia.

On the left, you may see another single digit number, which denotes the factory number. Also, this logo also features a small artist rendering of the Virginia factories surrounded by trees.
Additionally, a brass tag often accompanies this logo, which often features the same or similar wording.
Finally, on older pieces of Henkel Harris, you may find a cloth label that is adhered to the inside of the drawer. The cloth label reads, “Crafted by Virginia Galleries, Furniture by HENKEL-HARRIS, Winchester, Virginia.” Sometimes, these cloth labels also noted the wood of the piece. So, for instance, you may see “From Genuine Mahogany. Origin South America or Africa.”
Of course, all three logos signify authentic Henkel Harris Furniture. That said, the burned-in logo provides the most permanent markings. Obviously, these burned-in markings provide a permanent way to authenticate Henkel Harris.
