Is Craftique Furniture still in business?

Craftique Furniture is not still in business. Today, unfortunately Craftique Furniture no longer operates out of their Mebane, North Carolina factories. Unfortunately, in May of 2020, the 17 acre facility that previously housed Craftique was sold for 2.2 million dollars.

Sadly, the only way to purchase fine Craftique furniture products is:

  • Craftique Furniture Craigslist
  • Craftique Furniture Ebay
  • Online Antique Stores
  • Vintage Furniture Stores
  • Used Furniture Stores
  • Thrift Stores
  • Consignment Shops

In other words, Craftique Furniture Company no longer manufactures furniture today.

Although no longer in business, many people continue to enjoy the legacy of Craftique Furniture. Indeed, the high quality, solid wood furniture made by Craftique continues to live on in fine homes across the country. Many people pass these fine heirloom-quality furniture pieces down through generations. So let’s take a look at some of the incredible pieces of Craftique furniture made through the years.

Craftique Furniture values

You may wonder, does Craftique Furniture have value?
In short, yes! Because of the beautiful fine woods, superior construction and incredible traditional designs, Craftique Furniture has a solid and devoted collector base. Indeed, on the used furniture market, Craftique Furniture in excellent or barely used condition still has a fairly high resale value.

That said, Craftique does not have the name recognition of other furniture brands, like Ethan Allen Furniture or Baker Furniture. Additionally, the company did not have as long as a run as Drexel Furniture or Henredon Furniture.

So, you may have to wait to find the right buyer for high end Craftique Furniture.

What Craftique Furniture items are the most valuable?

Generally speaking, there are some items by Craftique that sell for higher prices and that appear to be in greater demand. So, if you have any of these items, you may have luck selling them for a tidy profit:

  • Craftique Corner Cabinets
  • Beautiful Craftique Beds or Four Poster Beds
  • Phenomenal Craftique Dining Room Sets
  • Various Models of Craftique Dining Tables
  • Vintage Craftique Nightstands
  • Craftique Chest of Drawers and Dressers
  • Blind Door or Glass Secretary Desks by Craftique
    • We will cover each of these categories and discover what made Craftique Furniture unique.

      Craftique Corner Cabinets

The North Carolina company Craftique made beautiful corner cabinets in various styles and sizes. Small corner cabinets usually had one small door with nine to twelve panes of glass. Of course, all of the mullions in the cabinet door are glazed by hand. Typically corner shelves have fixed shelves and plate rail running along the back. These smaller cabinets tend to sell between $600 to $900.

      Craftique Corner Cabinet

Larger two door Craftique Corner Cabinets usually feature eight separate panes of glass in each door. Sometimes, these larger corner cabinets have Federal style finials and crown. Additionally, you typically see that Craftique used paneled door fronts and molding along the feet and top. Large Craftique Corner cabinets can cost between $800 and $1800, if they are in excellent condition.

      Craftique Poster Beds

Fine Craftique beds and Craftique poster beds have a degree of collectability, especially since traditional poster beds can be tough to find in furniture stores these days. So, vintage Craftique poster beds have a traditional look and can feature simple turn posts. Or, they can have fluted posts with elegant carvings. Some Craftique poster beds have a simple arched headboard. Others have a Federal arch and central finial.

      Craftique bed

On almost all models of Craftique beds, you will find posts of equal height in the front and back. Also, most Craftique beds feature bold-through rails. Of course, this helps the bed stay tight and sturdy for years to come. Full Size Craftique beds can run between $400 and $800. Obviously, king and queen beds are more desirable, and thus more costly.

      Craftique Dining Room Sets

Of course, Craftique dining room sets demonstrate beautiful quality. Again, Craftique fine imported mahogany looks especially impressive on a long solid wood dining table. A full Craftique dining room set can cost anywhere from $1000 to $6000, depending on condition, number of chairs, length of the table and complexity of the china cabinet design.

      Craftique chairs

Surprisingly, you may decide to split up the set and offer it in different smaller units. Indeed, you could receive a higher asking price by offering a set of chairs separately from the dining table. Likewise, you may find a buyer for a buffet more quickly than the china cabinet. So, it may be in your best interest to split up a Craftique dining room set in order to realize a higher profit.

      Craftique Dining Table

A Craftique dining table can have value itself. Of course, if you are in the market for a Craftique dining table, you can expect to pay a range of prices.

      craftique drop leaf table

A small Craftique drop leaf table can cost between $500 and $1200. Otherwise, a long dining table with multiple leaves can cost between $600 and $2400, with inlaid and banded tables costing as much as $4000. Obviously, the finish and design makes the huge difference in the value.

      Craftique dining table

The most expensive Craftique dining tables feature incredible barely used condition, and fine inlay or banding along the edge. Often called Duncan Phyfe in style, these vintage tables often have double pedestal bases.

      Craftique Nightstands

As you might have guessed, Craftique nightstands and Craftique bachelor chests continue to sell for decent prices as well.

      craftique nightstand

Of course, matching pairs of Craftique nightstands tend to hold the most value. Commonly, the three drawer chest design can sell for between $400 and $800 depending on condition. Larger four drawer nightstands can go up from there in price.

      craftique bachelor chest

Finally, larger bachelor chests by Craftique often have a bracket style foot. Also, they tend to have four graduating drawers. Then, of course, they have pull out writing surface as well. Craftique bachelor chests can cost between $600 and $1500, on average.

      Craftique Chest of Drawers

Similarly, Craftique dressers and chests can climb the price ladder as well. A Craftique tall chest can cost between $600 and $1600. A long Craftique Dresser usually falls within this wide range as well. As previously noted, the condition and overall style makes the difference in the price of vintage Craftique dressers.

      Craftique Secretary Desks

Finally, Craftique Secretary Desks can really still bring a lot of value on the second hand furniture market. Tall, beautifully crafted and featuring incredible ingenuity, secretary desks by Craftique are pretty desirable.

Of course, tall, blind door secretary desks by Craftique can sell for upwards of $2000. On the other hand, Craftique secretary glass doors can sell for between $1000 and $1600.
